It would take a lot of space to write everything I love about being part of the Sharecroppers CSA. There's the surprise delight of a familiar veggie in a color and shape I've never seen, the culinary adventure of working with herbs and plants I've never tried, and the sheer flavorful goodness of the produce and eggs - supermarket produce quite literally pales in comparison. Then there's just the weekly ritual of going to the farmette - the anticipation of the week's harvest, the lovely garden and tidy rows of produce, the chickens, the charming rustic decor of the barn where the produce is laid out in baskets, the cameraderie with fellow CSA members...I could go on and on.
Robin is an artist - and it shows in her attention to every detail of the CSA experience. If you'd like the phrase "eat your veggies" to be a treat instead of a punishment in your household, try bringing your family to the Sharecroppers Farm. It will change your perspective on vegetables forever!
